It's october 31st, how is everybody, no one has posted anything since the 25th, my post

I'm pretty sure all of us procrastinated on the start of this project....

I've been trying to understand how to do this project for the last four days, but i do not get it.  I've looked at it and I can't tell what i'm supposed to do. I've tried, and i'll hand in what I have tomorrow, but I did not understand how to do this project

Does the book have to be typed?

hey everybody - Did you see that the first page of today's handout was what I covered in class yesterday? I expected you all would be able to finish about half of the packet today in class and maybe 45 minutes of H/W to complete. PLEASE don't make yourselves nuts over this assignment. Finish what you can in a reasonable amount of time. If you don't get the whole thing done it will be oaky.

If you're stuck on the project text me. I'll be out during a lot of the weekend so won't be blogging, but I can text you if you're stuck. Ms P.

Who's going to the pep rally tomorrow? And besides that, who understands completely the concept of y=x i get it, but thats because i have my notes, i'm just worried for when we have a quiz

anyone else feel like this project is really bad timing? i've been swapped with projects this week and this is just adding. we won't be able to ask ms.cook any questions and, I know I won't be there friday so I won't be able to work on it in class. opinions?

Classwork v. Homework

I do not know how everyone else feels on this topic, but when I'm doing homework it makes the classwork feel like the kiddie pool in a swimming contest. One classwork feels difficult, the homework feels twice as tedious most of the time.

until this year math has always been my best subject, i somewhat understand what we are doing in class but when i get home and attempt to conquer my homework its like freaking chinese.fml. anyone want to be my tutor?

Should an Honors Precalculus class include HSPA prep?

If you're in honors precalc, you should have NO PROBLEM passing the HSPA. Should we review some HSPA material anyway? Remember that it will take away time from the lessons you'll need for calculus. As an alternative... should Ms Cook hand out some HSPA prep material for you to do on your own? (and maybe give you extra credit for doing it?) And is that fair to the seniors in the class, who've already passed the HSPA?

When did math get really hard?

Did you excell in math in middle school? How about honors geometry? When did math start to get really hard, and do you have any thoughts about what changed? Or is math STILL pretty easy for you?

Are projects fair in math class?

So you take honors precalculus because you've always been a good...no, make that great... math student. You LIKE solving equations and using a high-powered calculator. English is, well, somebody else's favorite subject. And now your math teacher tells you you're getting a test grade for WRITING? Jeeze. Is that fair?

Should the school provide graphing calculators?

Does using a graphing calculator help you to understand precalculus? Do the students who own one have an advantage over those who don't? Do you think the school should provide every precalculus student with their own graphing calculator?
